Perito Moreno – Glacier-top Trekking [In-Depth Tour]

Hotel pick-up: A private car will pick you up from your hotel in downtown El Calafate in the early morning.

Arrival at the port: Travel by car to the port of 'Bajo de Las Sombras' to begin this adventure.

Glacier cruise: Take a shuttle boat across the lake and enjoy a low-angle view of the massive southern glacier wall.

Forest Exploration (approx. 2 hours): After reaching the other side, begin your forest hike. This route will take you through dense Andean rainforests, with your guide explaining the local biodiversity along the way.

Big Ice Core Hike (approx. 3.5 hours): Put on crampons and safety gear at the edge of the glacier. Officially step onto the millennia-old glacier and delve into its core area. You will see the purest "glacial blue" and spend a breathtaking time on the ice.

Forest return trip (approximately 2 hours): With a heart full of emotion and photos, return to the forest trail to the harbor via the same route.

Boardwalk Tour: On the return trip, a special arrangement will be made to visit the Perito Moreno Glacier Boardwalk, where you can look back at the magnificent glacier you have just conquered from a high vantage point.

Return trip: We returned to the hotel in the evening with fulfilling memories.

Age restriction: This trip requires a high level of physical fitness and is only open to those aged 18 to 50 who are in good health (subject to the operator's regulations).

Physical requirements: The activity includes approximately 7-8 hours of activity throughout the day (forest + ice). It is not recommended for people with knee injuries or cardiovascular diseases to participate.

Essential equipment: Please wear waterproof hiking boots (do not wear sneakers), a windproof and waterproof jacket, warm clothing (layered layering), gloves, and sunglasses.
