Falkland Islands, South Georgia & Antarctica Itinerary 2026-2028

We officially boarded the ship in Ushuaia in the afternoon. After boarding, the cruise ship will slowly depart from the dock, sailing along the historic Beagle Channel. This channel runs through the Tierra del Fuego archipelago, the southernmost point of South America, with breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains and forests on both sides. As the ship slowly enters the open sea, everyone on deck is filled with anticipation and excitement, because the next time you see land, you will be standing on the southernmost continent in the world: Antarctica. Tonight, let's raise a glass to celebrate and embark on the most unforgettable journey of our lives with fellow cruisers from all over the world!

After sailing eastward towards South America for a day and a half, they arrived at the Falkland Islands. During this time, the ship's expedition team and experts from various fields will invite all passengers to participate in lectures on topics such as history, geography, and ecology, to gain a deeper understanding of the Falkland Islands they are about to arrive at.

Arrive in the Falkland Islands, a wildlife paradise with nearly 800 islands. The Falkland Islands are the first stop on the three-island tour. Over two days, you'll explore this land, encountering up to five penguin species: King, Gentoo, Magellanic, Southern Rockhopper, and Crested Penguin. Stroll along sand dunes and cliffs, and get up close to playful penguin families and herds of elephant seals. Simultaneously, visit the British-style capital, Stanley, wandering the streets to admire red telephone booths, Victorian architecture, and the world's southernmost cathedral, experiencing the pristine island life of this land that has witnessed war and now thrives in harmony with its wildlife.

Over the next two days, we will continue our voyage in the Southern Ocean, heading to the isolated island of South Georgia. Your day at sea will be filled with fascinating lectures by the expedition team, covering topics such as photography, wildlife, glaciology, and history. Between lectures, you can head to the deck to spot wildlife or relax in the bar with a drink and chat with your fellow travelers.

Arrive at South Georgia Island, where king penguins congregate. South Georgia Island is a perfect blend of wildlife paradise and historical sites. Here, you'll stroll through spectacular king penguin colonies, such as the more than 150,000 penguins gathered in St. Andrews Bay, where you can see fluffy penguin chicks and adults at any time; follow in the footsteps of legendary explorer Sir Shackleton on a hike to relive his perilous rescue mission and pay your respects at his grave; visit the Goodwill Museum to learn about the bloody history of whaling and the current resurgence of whale populations. Furthermore, you can observe up close groups of seals breeding and the graceful silhouettes of wandering albatrosses, making your landing experience both awe-inspiring and moving.

After three days of landing on South Georgia Island, the next day was a two-day sea voyage across the Sea of Scotia. Because parts of the Scotia Sea overlap with the Drake Passage, high waves are inevitable. In addition to seasickness medication brought in advance, the ship's doctor will also provide medication to alleviate seasickness symptoms. During these two days, the ship's lectures will focus on the Antarctic continent, where we will be landing. Experts and expedition members will be invited to give lectures, providing passengers with a comprehensive understanding of the Antarctic continent's animal ecology, geography, and history.

When you actually set foot on Antarctica, what often wells up in your heart is boundless awe and shock. This is one of the purest, almost untouched icy worlds on Earth, instantly making it clear why countless explorers and travelers have been captivated by it for centuries. Each visit to Antarctica brings new and unexpected surprises, making your journey a unique and precious memory. Explore frozen bays and landing sites daily in Zodiac boats. Under the attentive care of a professional expedition team, you can hike through the snow, visit science stations, and get up close to Chinstrap, Adélie, and Gentoo penguins. Keep an eye out for Weddell, Crabeater, and Leopard seals, as well as humpback whales, minke whales, and even orca. In this tranquil world, the noisy squabbling of penguins over rocks and the thunderous roar of glaciers breaking apart will become unforgettable memories. The two days at sea on the return journey are the last chance to breathe in the crisp Antarctic air. You will arrive in Ushuaia in the early morning. After breakfast, you will officially bid farewell to the polar cruise ship that accompanied you on your conquest of the seventh continent, disembarking with a sense of awe, emotion, and thousands of photos. You will continue your journey or take a plane back home.
