Besides the must-see Antarctica, the two-island itinerary will also visit South Georgia Island, a four-and-a-half-day voyage from South America. South Georgia Island is home to a vast penguin colony. You'll stroll along beaches teeming with king penguins and elephant seals, admire the amusing antics of Gentoo, Chinstrap, and Adelie penguins, and observe albatrosses gracefully soaring above the ship. Antarctica will then take center stage, its majestic peaks and boundless expanse awe-inspiring. You can explore and photograph the shimmering glaciers up close in a rubber dinghy, or savor the rugged and magnificent peninsula scenery from a canoe perspective. After deducting the first day of embarkation and the last day of disembarkation, the two-island itinerary offers a total of seven full days of landings. Provided safety is ensured, the captain and expedition leader will arrange two landings and one rubber dinghy cruise each morning and afternoon during these seven days. Therefore, a 18-day two-island itinerary offers an expected 14 landing opportunities.
